Valve with compact actuating mechanism
The present invention relates to a valve having a base body with a passage opening, a movable valve member for closing and opening the passage opening and an actuating mechanism for moving the valve member in order to open the passage opening. The actuating mechanism has at least two elements made from a shape memory alloy which are secured to the base body or a carrier body connected thereto, and can be alternately shortened in the event of the temperature rising above a threshold temperature and are connected to the valve member in such a way that the valve member can be moved from a position on the passage opening into a position alongside the passage opening when one element is shortened on one side and can be moved back into the position on the passage opening when the other element is shortened on one side.

Normally open high flow hydraulic pressure control actuator
A solenoid-operated valve includes a valve body defining a valving bore for providing a path of communication between axially spaced inlet and outlet ports. A solenoid assembly is attached to the valve body and includes an inductor coil, a fixed flux guide and an armature, which is movable axially between a first position and a second position in response to electrical energization of the inductor coil. A valve member is disposed within the valving bore intermediate the inlet and outlet ports. An elongated control member interconnects the armature and the valve member for conjoined axial movement. A generally annular valve seat is disposed within the valving bore between the inlet port and valve member, the valve seat including a central through bore through which the control member extends.

Drip resistant dispensing nozzle
A dispensing nozzle method and apparatus is provided that may help in reducing the number of defects in integrated circuits during the manufacturing process. In one embodiment, the nozzle is configured such that at least a portion of the end of the nozzle that dispenses fluid can increase and decrease with a change in pressure, which may help to control fluid drips when the nozzle is not dispensing.

Multi-drop flow control valve system
A multi-drop flow control valve system having a plurality of hydraulically actuated flow control valve, each valve set in an initial operating position. The flow control valves are connected to a hydraulic control line in sequence, wherein the second flow control valve is below the first flow control valve and so on. Wherein a first hydraulic pressure in the control line will operate at least the first flow control valve to an actuated position and a second hydraulic pressure greater than the first hydraulic pressure will operate at least the first and second flow control valves to actuated positions. It may be desired for each of the control valves to be biased in the initial position when the hydraulic pressure is less than a base pressure.

Solenoid valve
The invention relates to a solenoid valve made using certain materials which is capable of operation at high frequencies and which can be made as a compact unit. The plunger ( 1 ) is made from an electromagnetic material having a saturation flux density greater than 1.2 Tesla preferably more than 1.6 Tesla, the bore leading from the valve head chamber ( 14 ) to the nozzle orifice ( 12 ) has a length to diameter ratio of less than 5:1 preferably between 2:1 and 4:1 and the nozzle orifice ( 12 ) has a diameter of 80 micrometer or less. The invention also relates to method for operating a drop on demand ink jet printer incorporating such a valve.

Pressure relief valve with direct hydraulic damping
To protect hydraulic assemblies, in particular to protect hydraulic brace systems, pressure relief valves 1 are used, the closing part 10 of which is formed by a piston 15 , which is connected to the connection 4 , and the valve spring retainer 12 , which comprises said piston, is arranged displaceably thereon and accordingly has a cylindrical design. Between the connection 4 , which is equipped with a blind hole 5 and radial bores 6, 7 , and the displaceable closing part 10 and/or the correspondingly shaped valve spring retainer 12 a damping chamber 20 is formed, which is directly connected to the blind hole 5 and hence to the system pressure.

Shower head
A shower head includes a main body formed with a chamber communicating with a water inlet at the upper end. The main body has its lower end formed with central water outlets and peripheral water outlets and has its interior installed with a water-separating unit with a pivot having a sealing member fixed thereon. When the pivot together with the sealing member is moved up and down vertically in the chamber, the sealing member can carry out sealing to control the water flowing in the chamber through the central water outlets or the peripheral water outlets. The main body has one circumferential side installed with a press unit formed with two pushing slopes actuated to move horizontally and push the pivot of the water-separating unit to shift up and down vertically for controlling the shower head to send out water through the center or the periphery.
